Still want to get the most for your gas money? Here are a few driving tips:
- Make sure your tires are properly inflated at all times
- Don't speed—your gas mileage is cut by 10 percent for every extra five mph you travel over 65 mph
- Have a clean air filter in the car; a clogged air filter can cut mileage by 10 percent
- Take excess baggage out of the trunk
- Use cruise control to maintain steady speeds for the best fuel economy
