The Randolph County Sheriff's Office has arrested four people in the death of an Archdale man, including his wife and daughter, the News & Record of Greensboro reported.
Paul Donald Grainger, 72, was found dead in his home at 7136 Suits Road, Lot 3, on Sept. 6. Family members reported to authorities that his mobile home had been ransacked and many things were missing.
But on Monday afternoon Grainger's 60-year-old wife, Nancy Brooks Grainger, and 19-year old daughter, Brandi Lea Grainger, were arrested after an interview with Randolph County deputies.
High Point police helped the deputies Tuesday arrest Phillip Lee Mabe, 31, and Dylan Edwin Boston, 19, at their home at 819 Nance Ave. in High Point.
All have been charged with murder and conspiracy to commit first-degree murder. They are being held at the Randolph County jail without bond.
Detectives with the sheriff's office would not say Tuesday how the Graingers became suspects or what their relationship is to the two High Point men. Nor would they release the cause of Paul Grainger's death.
According to authorities, the arrests came after a three-week investigation that included help from the State Bureau of Investigation, High Point Police Department, Misenheimer Police Department and Pfeiffer University, where Brandi Grainger was a student.
