Katherine Sparga of Cooleemee, who supplied last week's recipe for mock guacamole, also responded to a request for a peach smoothie.
Actually, Sparga calls it a "fuzzy navel" smoothie, naming it after the popular cocktail that is created by mixing orange juice and peach schnapps.
This smoothie is alcohol-free, but it does combine orange and peach flavors.
4 scoops vanilla ice cream
1 cup cut-up peeled and pitted peaches
1 cup cold orange juice
2 strawberries, for garnish
Combine ice cream, peaches and orange juice in a blender and blend until it reaches desired consistency. Serve in two tall glasses, each garnished with a strawberry. Makes 2 servings.
