This is to all the good citizens of Catawba County; we are so blessed to have at our time of need, such wonderful agencies as CCHH (Catawba County Home Health), Home Health and Medications. They are truly a blessing. The love and care they give to you and your loved one is far above their job description. They were wonderful to my mother, (Thelma Robinette) they saw to her every need to the very end. Frank, thank you for the phone calls checking on her.
Debbie Sigmon, Terry, Trish, Brenda, and yes the great nurses that took such great care of her.
Citizens, should you be forced to have a need of caring for a loved one at home, remember the CCHH and Home Health and Meds are but a phone call away.
Catawba County is also blessed to have the best church Emmanuel Baptist Church. My church, pastor Brian and wife, Robin Correll, you're the best, thank you, thank you, thank you. To my church family, many thanks for all the prayers, kind words and love you have given to my mother and me. Junie, Twyla, Mae and Peggy, how special you ladies were.
Citizens, the doors of Emmanuel Baptist Church are always open, so please come join us in our services as we worship our Lord and Savior. You will be welcomed there and the Lord meets you at the door.

Handicap parking permits should be used only for handicapped individuals!
For many years, I have noticed people parking in these designated spaces and walking inside. These lazy, selfish people park up front and then go inside and walk all around the store.
My mother is disabled due to a back problem and was issued a handicapped parking tag that she refuses to use. She says that if she is able to walk around the store and do her business, she can walk in from a regular parking spot.
I have a friend who is wheelchair bound who actually parks in the far off section of parking lots due to how difficult it is to get in and out of the vehicle. He has been blocked in numerous times in the handicapped sections due to limited space.
The people who are using these tags without being handicapped, should be ashamed of themselves.
I have to shake my head at the disgrace of these people every day.

Instead of criticizing our health-care workers, let's give words of gratitude and praise for the unconditional love and services they provide — the respect and long hours away from their loved ones and the stress that is placed on their bodies trying to save us.
I had a stroke last week and not one second was wasted on trying to give me the best medical care that I required and received. The physician and nurses have the hands and knowledge, but God has the power.
As humans, we forget our health-care workers are human and have hearts also. They cry, too. We all have heavy hearts, grief, pain and burdens to bear. But, the one most important thing is love thy neighbor as our self and God loves good deeds.
I would like to thank Dr. Coffey, E.R. Mindy R.N., Stacy Coffey R.N., Dr. Larson of the N.P.C.U., Darla R.N. and all the wonderful staff at Frye.
