What are the requirements?

1. Are you in a band?

2. Does your band play original or cover tunes?

3. Do you have a video camera?

4. Want to win some great prizes?

You are ready to rock the house with the mouse! Play the First Annual Rock the House with the Mouse Battle of the Bands Contest. We will be accepting video submissions beginning Monday, Sept. 15. We want all kinds of music - classical, rock, progressive, Christian, polka, hiphop - you name it, we'll play it. Submissions will be approved before they are published online so be careful with the language.

How do we play the contest?

Visit hickoryrecord.com, select Entertainment and click on Contests. You can click here too. Register for the contest. You will be able to submit your video beginning Sept. 15 through Oct. 26.

Voting will begin Oct. 27 through Nov.2 for the top eight bands. These bands will be notified Nov. 3 and will perform at the Rock the House with the Mouse Battle of the Bands Final sponsored by Hickory Dickory Dock. This live event will be held at Hickory Dickory Dock on Saturday, Nov. 8 at 10 am to 6 pm.

Each band will be judged on stage presence, audience reaction and wowness factor by a panel of judges. Each band will receive a Rock the House with Mouse t-shirt. The winning band will be announced at 6:30 pm and will be awarded a Grand Prize package sponsored by Harrisburg Music, Larry's Musical Madness, Codex Sound Company and much more.

To top off the day's events, The Logic will be performing Saturday night, 8:30 pm to 10:30 pm. The show will be an all ages show and is guaranteed to bring down the house. No alcohol will be served or permitted. Parking will be limited so plan to arrive early.
