Roster will include North Carolina standouts

HICKORY - Hickory Mayor Rudy Wright and Rick Vandett, retiring superintendent of the Hickory City Schools, will be honorary coaches Wednesday night at the Carolina Barnstorming Tour basketball game at Hickory High.
The game features senior players from Duke, North Carolina and other ACC seniors against Hickory High seniors, starting at 7:30 p.m.
Wright will coach the ACC All-Stars and Vandett will coach the Hickory team.
Players expected to play include Tyler Hansbrough and Danny Green of North Carolina, Greg Paulus and David McClure of Duke and Antwan Scott, a former Wake Forest player who has also played for the Harlem Globetrotters.
Advance tickets are $10 and tickets at the door are $12.50. Tickets can be purchased at Hickory High, Hometown Sports and Play It Again Sports. VIP tickets are sold out.
An autograph session is scheduled form 6:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. One fan will get a chance to face an ACC All-Star in a 3-point shooting contest and there will be a dunk contest at halftime.
A portion of game proceeds will go to the Hickory High athletic department and the Ronald McDonald House.
The Tour has also scheduled games on Thursday at Appalachian State's Holmes Center and next Friday at the Greensboro Coliseum Special Events Center.
Other games will be April 17 at Providence High, April 20 at Union Pines High, April 21 at Wilmington New Hanover High and April 22 at The Crown Center Arena in Fayetteville.
