Franklin Graham's relief organization says a Sudanese leader is coming to North Carolina to visit Graham's Samaritan's Purse group and thank it for relief efforts.
Samaritan's Purse said it has spent more than $60 million to help the Sudanese recover from a civil war by supporting four hospitals, distributing food and establishing schools.
The organization said Salva Kiir Mayardit, who is first vice president of Sudan, plans a visit to Samaritan's Purse in Boone on Wednesday afternoon. The leader has met Graham twice before in Sudan.
The leader met Monday with President Bush in Washington. Bush announced an airlift of equipment for humanitarian relief in the Darfur region of Sudan where millions of people have been driven from their homes.
