LENOIR - The Caldwell County Health Department, like Catawba County Public Health, has exhausted its supply of adult seasonal flu vaccine.
Caldwell County still has a small amount of the vaccine available for children 6 months to 35 months old.
Additional shipments were allocated to school nurses to vaccinate kindergarten through fifth-grade students. If the vaccine is available after schools are finished with inoculations, the Caldwell health department will resume its seasonal flu clinic, said Jessica Carter, health education supervisor.
Caldwell also received a small shipment of H1N1 vaccine, Carter said in an e-mail. Health-care and emergency workers are now getting the intranasal vaccine. Carter said the health department expects an additional shipment in the coming weeks, but she could not supply an exact date.
Nor does the Caldwell health department have information about vaccine arrivals at private medical offices.
