HICKORY – The McHenry for Congress campaign today released its first TV ad, "Keep Fighting for Us."
The ad features area residents discussing some of Congressman Patrick McHenry's accomplishments.
"Patrick McHenry's reputation as a fighter for the people of Western North Carolina is well deserved. In only four years in Congress, Patrick is getting results that make a difference in the lives of the people he is so honored to represent," said Rebecca Yount, McHenry's campaign manager.
The ad features a veteran referring to the congressman's work in bringing the new veterans' health care clinic to Hickory. A firefighter mentions McHenry's help in bringing more than $9 million in grants to area fire departments.
And a woman comments on McHenry's plan to lower gas prices and move America toward energy inde-pendence.
"These are just a few of the reasons why the people of Western North Carolina are saying, 'Keep fighting for us, Patrick'," Yount said.
