The Newton-Conover Auditorium presents "Peril on the Red Planet" by the Open Dream Ensemble at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 27.
Ticket prices are $5 with general admission seating for the one-hour show. The performance is geared for grades 4 through 8, but is fun for the entire family.
Earth's first permanent community on Mars is threatened by starvation. Thirteen-year-old Diana takes matters into her own hands by recreating the SARPOG machine first produced by a team of scientists 10 years prior to make the soil of Mars capable of growing food.
She does not realize until SARPOG is powered up that there is a terrible glitch in its software, making it a force of destruction.
Diana must set off with her robot sidekick, Abeona, to stop SARPOG from destroying Mars.
All Newton-Conover Auditorium members will receive a 10 percent discount for this event.
