Catawba County sheriff's deputies arrested Christian Eugene Goss, 17, of JT Posse Drive, Catawba, at about 9:30 p.m. Friday in connection to the burglary of J.V. Huffman Jr.'s home on Wishing Well Lane in Claremont late Thursday.
Goss was charged with larceny of a motor vehicle, breaking and entering and larceny. His bond is set at $75,000 and his first court date is scheduled for Monday.
Sheriff's office investigators conducted interviews that led to Goss' arrest and the recovery of a 2007 Mercedes S65 stolen from Huffman's residence, according to a press release issued by the Catawba County Sheriff's Office.
The release also stated that the vehicle was appraised at $101,000.
Other items stolen from the home included 10 flat screen TVs and about $500,000 in theater equipment for a home theater system, said Chief Deputy Coy Reid of the Catawba County Sheriff's Office.
The sheriff's office took four people into custody Friday. Goss is the only one to have been arrested so far but, according to the release, more arrests are expected.
J.V. Huffman Jr. is accused of lying to neighbors, family and friends for 17 years, telling them he bought and sold securities, as he took millions of dollars from them to pay for his lavish lifestyle.
Huffman is charged with four counts of felony security fraud and four felony counts of obtaining property by false pretense.
