HICKORY

A benefit ride and car show in memory of Kasey E. Frye will be Saturday.

Bike registration is from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at Kawasaki-Suzuki-Yamaha of Hickory. The ride begins at 10:30.

The car show is at Advance Auto Parts of Conover. Car registration is from 8 to 11 a.m. The show continues until 5 p.m.

This is a fundraising event for Hemophilia of North Carolina and the American Red Cross and named for Frye who suffered from hemophilia.

Entry is $10 per bike and $10 per vehicle in the car show. Show categories include domestic (muscle and classic cars), imports, trucks (dooleys and lowriders, too) and virtually any kind of vehicle.

A people's choice award will be presented.
