Four of the top women's college softball teams in NCAA Division II are headed to Hickory for the weekend.

The Southeast No. 2 Regional begins Friday at Lenoir-Rhyne University with two games, including the host Bears against Georgia College and State at 4 p.m.

The three-day, double-elimination tournament begins Friday at 1 p.m. at Bears Field when USC Aiken faces Carson-Newman.

The teams are vying for a berth in the Super Regionals on May 15-16 (a best-of-3 series), and the winner there advances to the NCAA Division II championships on May 21-25 in Salem, Va.

L-R is in the postseason for the fourth straight season and fifth time in school history, but is playing host to a regional for the first time.
