Try out a free introductory Tai Chi class at the Hickory Museum of Art on Tuesday. The museum is once again offering Tai Chi in the Gallery with certified instructor Rick Berry. The free session will be held on 6:30 to 8 p.m. in the museum's second-floor Coe Gallery.
The ancient Chinese art of Tai Chi uses gentle flowing movements and has been known to reduce stress and improve relaxation, vitality, agility, flexibility and regulation of metabolism.
After the free introductory session, a series of 10 classes will follow from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Tuesdays starting Nov. 10. The cost is $70 for museum members and $95 for non-members.
Call HMA at 327-8576 or go to www.HickoryArt.org for more information.
