University Christian High School will have an open house today, Nov. 12, at 7 p.m. at St. Stephens Lutheran School on Springs Road in Hickory. The open house is an opportunity for the community to learn more about the new school, student activities and enrollment information.
University Christian High School offers a highly-academic, Christian alternative to public high school. Students at UCHS enjoy high academic standards, state-licensed teachers, superior facilities and a partnership with Lenoir-Rhyne University.
Principal Bill Unverfehrt will make a presentation of the current academic and student life, upcoming events and plans for the future. Although specifically geared to students entering ninth or 10th grade in 2010, everyone is welcome. Another presentation will be given on Tuesday, Nov. 17, at 7 p.m. at the UCHS campus at 215 Fifth Ave., SE, in Conover.
