"Miracle on 34th Street" the Hickory Community Theatre's gala holiday production, begins a three-weekend run at 8 p.m. Friday in the Jeffers Theatre.
The play, adapted from the book that inspired the classic Hollywood film, is a heartwarming adventure story. It follows the tale of jolly man named Kris Kringle who presents himself to Macy's Department Store as the "real" Santa Claus.
The Saturday performance is Ladies Night. All ladies in the audience received a free beverage.
Performances continue through Dec. 20, with shows at 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays; 7 :30 p.m. Thursdays; and 2:30 p.m. Sundays.
Tickets are $16 for adults, $14 for seniors and $7 for youth and students. Group packages are available for groups of 10 or more, with tickets priced $10 for each adult and $5 for each child under 18. Seating capacity in the Jeffers Theatre is 370 patrons.
