Teen airlifted to hospital after shooting in Conover

»  Comments | Post a Comment

A teenager was airlifted to a hospital in Charlotte after he was shot multiple times Saturday night.

Police received a call about a domestic situation at a home on Eighth Avenue, SW, at about 10:30 p.m., said Sgt. Mark Stump with the Conover Police Department. Someone called the police department again before officers arrived, though, and said it was not a domestic situation.

Officers arrived at the home and found a 17-year-old shot three times, Stump said.

He did not release the victim's name.

The suspects had already left when police arrived, and officers are still investigating the motive behind the shooting, Stump said.

The victim did not live at the house where he was shot, although he has relatives who live there, Stump said.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Conover Police Department at 464-4698.
