Police seek two suspects in Dollar General armed robbery

»  Comments | Post a Comment

Two armed men who robbed the Dollar General at 6568 N.C. 16 in Conover on Wednesday night are being sought by the Catawba County Sheriff's Office.

Just before closing time, a large black male wielding a knife walked into the store followed by a thin white male with a handgun. They demanded money from the clerk behind the counter and she gave them an undisclosed amount of cash from the register, said Chief Deputy Coy Reid.

After getting the money, the men left in a dark colored minivan.

Neither of the clerks in the store at the time were injured.

The robbery was not filmed by the store's security cameras, Reid said.

"We wish we had more to go on," he said.

Anyone with information about the suspects or the incident is asked to call the Catawba County Sheriff's Office at 464-3112.
