HDTVs stolen from Rent-A-Center

Hickory police responding to an alarm at an area business arrived to find a window broken, but no one still inside last weekend.

At about 11:15 p.m. on Saturday, the alarm went of at the Rent A Center on U.S. 70, SE. When officers arrived, they found the front window broken, but no one still there, according to the police report.

When someone employed with the business responded to the alarm, as well, they looked around the store to see if anything had been stolen and saw that two TVs had been taken from a bottom shelf. The thieves had stolen a Toshiba HDTV, worth $887.63, and an LG HDTV, worth $923.67.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Hickory Police Department at 328-5551.
