People robbed while playing poker

A group of people was playing poker at a house when two men came into the house and robbed them last weekend.

Four people were playing poker at a home on Fifth Street, SE, at about 12:20 a.m. Saturday when two men knocked at the back door and came in, according to the police report.

The two men robbed the four people at gunpoint, telling the people playing poker to give them all their money, the report said. The two men also took the money off the poker table, as well as two cell phones.

One suspect is 6 feet tall, a light-skinned black man, has shoulder-length dreadlocks and was wearing all-black clothes. The other person is 5-feet 8-inches, is a light-skinned black man, skinny and has short hair.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Hickory Police Department at 328-5551.
