The Catawba Valley Camera Club's Feb. 3 competition winners:

Accomplished Division
First place: Ed Lane for "Bodie Bar."
Second place: A tie between Mike Williams for "Kate" and Ed Lane for "Morning Glory."
Honorable Mention: Cynthia Harmon for "Mingus Mill."

Beginner's Division
First place: Rich Hites for "Old Stone Barn."
Second place: Stan Bolton for "Sunrise Walk."
Third place: Stan Bolton for "Snow Jay."
The Catawba Valley Camera Club meets at at 7 p.m. on the first and third Wednesdays of every month in the North Annex of the Arts & Science Center in Hickory. Meetings consist of competition among members as well as instructional lectures. Field trips are planned throughout the year to enable members to share and demonstrate techniques.
The next meeting will be Feb. 17, featuring Joe Young with a presentation on Lightroom 2.
Membership is not required to attend.
