Two parks on delayed schedule; Bakers Mountain still closed

»  Comments | Post a Comment

Two of the county's parks will open late today, with one remaining closed because of dangerous trail conditions.

Riverbend Park, which borders the Catawba River on N.C. 16 east of Oxford Dam, will open at 10 a.m. today.

St. Stephens Park, behind Clyde Campbell Elementary School on 36th Ave., NE, in Hickory, also will open at 10 a.m.

Bakers Mountain Park will remain closed due to dangerous trail conditions.

Parks were closed for much of the weekend because of winter weather and high water.
