Body found on railroad tracks

»  Comments | Post a Comment

Lenoir police found the body of a man identified as Joseph Lublanezki lying on the railroad tracks near an overpass in the 600 block area of Connelly Springs Road Tuesday.

Lublanezki was spotted on the tracks at about 1:30 p.m.

Investigators found a suicide note from Lublanezki Wednesday. They believe he jumped from the overpass to the train tracks about 30 feet below.

"The injuries visible to us are consistent with a fall from the height of the bridge," said Captain Sid Pope of the Lenoir Police Department.

An autopsy will be conducted at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, Pope said.

Lublanezki, 54, of Lenoir was a resident of the Caldwell House – a live-in drug and alcohol treat-ment facility for men.
