Seven men robbed a pizza delivery driver Sunday, escaping with food and money.
A Papa John's Pizza driver was delivering two pizzas to a home at 514 Sims Place in Lenoir at about 10:10 p.m. Sunday.
Sims Place is a dirt road that is wooded with a few homes on it, according to Capt. Sid Pope with the Lenoir Police Department.
When the delivery driver arrived at the home, seven black males approached the driver. One of the men had a handgun. The driver was robbed of two pizzas, a cell phone and $25, according to the police department.
The delivery driver was able to get back in his car and escape.
