Reward offered in Granite Falls murder

Granite Falls police and the State Bureau of Investigation are looking for this man. He is a person of interest in the shooting death of a pawnshop employee.

Granite Falls investigators are hoping that a $6,000 reward will motivate someone to come forward and help them solve the murder of Tony Lee Myers.

The reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person who shot and killed Myers in Granite Gun and Pawn on Dec. 28.

The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives has offered $5,000 and $1,000 is being offered by Caldwell County Crime Stoppers.

Myers, 65, was found dead in the pawnshop where he worked at 90 S. Main St., Granite Falls, of what appeared to be a gunshot wound. Guns were stolen from the store.

A sketch of a man police are calling a "person of interest" has been released and investigators are working to identify him. He has been described as a short, thin white male with dark hair.

The State Bureau of Investigation is assisting the Granite Falls Police in their investigation.
