Hickory Public Library is continuing its popular program for young readers —"Paws to Read."
The program offers beginning and reluctant readers an opportu-nity to hone their skills while reading to a certified therapy dog.
People are invited to go to Patrick Beaver Memorial Library and read to a dog on Wednesday afternoons at 4 and 4:30 p.m., or on Thursday evenings at 6:15 and 7 p.m. Dogs are available at Ridgeview Branch Library Mondays and Tuesdays at 4 and 4:30 p.m. and Thursdays at 6:15 and 7 p.m. Appointments are on a firstcome basis.
