Getting complete games from pitchers Dawon Millwood and Lauren Harris, the Lenoir-Rhyne University women's softball team continued its win streak on Tuesday.
The Bears beat visiting Alderson-Broaddus 7-2 and 2-1 to run their win streak to nine games and improve to 19-2.
L-R scored five runs in the first inning of the opening game and Millwood struck out 12, while Carlee Carpenter had run-scoring singles in the first and second innings.
Sarah Atkins, Megan Laxton, Brandi Hathcock and Brittany Davidson also had an RBI for the Bears.
In the second game, Harris allowed four hits to run her record to 3-0.
L-R grabbed a 1-0 lead in the third on Jessica Fellmeth's home run, but Alderson-Broaddus' Emily Pritt drew a bases-loaded walk in the fourth to tie it.
Carpenter walked in the sixth and Ashley Duckworth doubled off the wall in center field, with Carpenter then scoring on a single by Laxton.
The Bears play at home today at 2 p.m, facing East Stroudsburg (Pa.) in a doubleheader.
