L-R's night game against Brevard postponed

NEWTON --

Today's Hickory High at Fred T. Foard baseball game will start earlier than originally planned.

Foard head baseball coach Channon Vogel said the schools won't play a junior varsity game and will move the varsity starting time up four hours, with the first pitch at 4:30 p.m. today.

Other Friday athletic events postponed or rescheduled because of wet weather are:

L-R BASEBALL: The Bears' 7 p.m. conference game against Brevard tonight won't be played.

L-R and Brevard will play a doubleheader on Saturday, starting at 1 p.m., and the third game of the series is Sunday at 1 p.m.

BANDYS BASEBALL: The Trojans' moved their home Friday game against Lexington to 1 p.m. on Saturday.

EAST BURKE BASEBALL: The Cavs' home game Friday against Freedom has been moved to April 14.

ST. STEPHENS SOCCER: Kings Mountain's visit to St. Stephens for an endowment match has been shifted to April 19.
