A man was arrested Wednesday night after investigators say he stabbed someone following a dispute about the death of a dog.
Vincent Andolinia was at his home on Jeremy Walker Lane in Taylorsville at about 9:30 p.m. when Richard Jordan came over, said Tod Jones, chief deputy with the Alexander County Sheriff’s Office.
The two acquaintances got into an argument over a dog that had been killed, although Jones said he was unsure whose dog it was or how the animal had been killed. Andolinia was stabbed during the argument, and called 911. Jones could not comment on where the stab wound was or how many times Andolinia had been stabbed.
When law enforcement arrived at Andolinia’s home, Jordan, 34, was no longer there. He was found by deputies near his home on Zion Church Road in Hiddenite, Jones said.
Andolinia, 22, was taken to Iredell Memorial Hospital in Statesville for his injuries, and was transferred to Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. By Thursday afternoon he had been discharged, according to hospital officials.
Jordan was charged with assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury and was given a $100,000 bond. His first court appearance is Tuesday.
