Convergys Corp. is seeking candidates for 88 non-seasonal, full-time positions at its contact center in Hickory.
Interested candidates are invited to attend an on-site job fair from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 16, at Convergys, 1507 Seventh St., SE. New employees will provide inbound customer service and sales support for a Convergys client in the telecommunications industry.
“Convergys has been part of the Hickory business community for three years, and we are pleased to bring this hiring opportunity to local job seekers,” said Billie Coon, site leader for the Convergys contact center in Hickory. “These positions are ideally suited to anyone who appreciates the importance of building strong customer relationships while helping resolve a caller’s inquiries or concerns.”

Coon said potential candidates should possess solid customer service and sales experience, strong computer/keyboarding skills, and the ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays. Employment with Convergys also is contingent on the successful completion of a background check.
