Where: 1924 Courthouse, 30 North College Ave., Newton
Commissioners will:
- Decide on a rezoning request from Jeffery Cernuto to rezone 1.91 acres in the Sherrills Ford section in Catawba County from rural commercial and residential to highway commercial district.
- Decide on a rezoning request from Brian and Lisa Jones to include one parcel totaling 11.97 acres in the Doublewide Manufactured Home-Overlay District. According to information from the county, the two want to put a manufactured home on the property for their parents.
- Decide on whether to use money left over from a Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Amendment for Royal Heights Circle Water Project, which provided connections to 22 homes, to extend water lines along Old Shelby Road.
- Hear reports from county social services on the 2011 Community Child Protection & Fatality Prevention Team’s annual report and on delinquent 2011 property taxes.
