A missing teen has returned home to her family.
Marlena Church, 15, voluntarily left Caldwell High School on Jan. 2. The Caldwell County Sheriff’s Office asked for the public’s help in finding the teen on Friday, believing she was with an 18-year-old man and in either the Hickory or High Point area.
On Saturday, Church returned home, said Sgt. B.J. Fore with the sheriff’s office. Investigators are looking into whether Church was with the man.
“We are grateful that this young lady is home safe and sound,” said Sheriff Alan Jones. “I would like to remind parents to pay attention to their children’s online activities and who they are talking to.”
