The Hickory Crawdads get back to baseball on Monday afternoon in Lakewood, N.J.
After having single games postponed on Saturday and Sunday by weather caused by Hurricane Irene, the Crawdads will play Lakewood’s BlueClaws in doubleheaders on Monday and Tuesday.
The first game both days is at 5:05 p.m.
Hickory (75-53, 35-25) is a half-game behind Kannapolis in the race for the second half title in the South Atlantic League’s Northern Division. The Crawdads assured themselves of a spot in the playoffs by winning the Northern Division crown in the first half.
The second half race remains tight, with Lakewood (66-62, 33-27) sitting 2 ½ games back of Kannapolis and Greensboro (33-29) is 3 ½ games back.
Savannah, the Southern Division’s first half winner, leads the division in the second half over Greenville, S.C.
The Crawdads return home Thursday to begin their final home regular season series against Greenville.
